A tribute page is a web page that tells the story of a person’s life who has passed away, in text, images, audio and videos. It’s a place where friends and family can say nice things or add fond memories or tell stories and remember the good things about someone’s life. It is where they pay tribute to the deceased person and their life. It’s a legacy for the successors of that person to be able to read and enjoy for generations to come. Our tribute pages sit on the Melbourne club website and on the Foundation website.
The tribute pages have been designed to be very simple so that everyone can use them but if you have a technical problem simply contact us through the contact us page and we’ll create a ticket to fix your problem within 48 hours.
Tribute pages cost £4 or less than a coffee per month..
It is easy to avoid this by searching for the deceased fan’s name first to see if someone has already created a profile for them. If there are two profiles then talk to the other person and one of you can delete their profile. Tribute pages can have more than one page manager.
There are 50 existing trees at our Melbourne Community Training Ground and we will be planting other trees once those 50 are Memoralised.
Yes you can create a draft Tribute Page when you create a tribute page and you can add other family members or friends as Administrators.
Yes you can please contact us via the contact us form and we can help you.
Their name will be on the side of the Horse Racing boots and on the top of the shoe box.
This is usually done every month to 6 weeks.
Yes you can. Simply contact us via the contact us page and we will gratefully provide you with the relevant form to share with your lawyer.
Tribute pages are rolling and last for as long as you make a £4 donation per month per Tribute page.
No sorry each Tribute page is seperate.
It will remain in place for as long as the donations are received and for as long as there is a Shed Stand. If we build a new stand we will move the names to a new wall in that stand.
Yes the recipients usually send a thank you letter to the donor of their boots via the Foundation. Sometimes children or parents are embarrassed about needing help and don’t want to be identified as requiring help or charity and if this happens we respect their wishes and the CEO of the Foundation sends you a thank you letter and describes the profile of the person or family in the community who received the boots whilst keeping them anonymised.
Without donations we cannot afford to pay for the web hosting, customer support, web development, ecommerce, digital marketing, bookkeeping, postage etc If your donations stop you get two reminder emails and two Whatsapp messages before your Tribute Page is automatically deleted. You will have to start from scratch if you want another Tribute Page.
You can visit the wall when you attend matches or events at Victoria Racing Club that are open to the public or to ticket holders. Sadly we just don’t have the staff resources to accompany guests to the wall on days when the racing club is not open to the public.
